Is it lazyness?

Sometimes it can take days (weeks!) for me to get on with some crafty (or arty for that matter) project. Especially when it comes to sewing, because, I think, it seems like such a lengthy process before I can get on with the actual sewing.

You know. First you need to make or cut a pattern, then maybe the fabric needs ironing. Then you have to cut the fabric, perhaps pin it together and first then can you start the fun part of sewing it all together.

I think the reason why I didn't pick up sewing earlier is that I used to absolutely hate the preparatory stages: SO boring! I had no patience for it whatsoever.

Apparently I must have become more patient now. Or at least patient enough to endure the stages before the actual sewing. Because I know that I will thank myself in the end if I take the time to prepare everything properly and not just rush to get it done.

I wonder if I'm the only one...
