Urgh, I'm having one of those days where I've just about had enough. I'm so ready for a holiday, and especially one that takes place in Denmark. Oi.
There's just something about summer in Denmark; there's just nothing like it. Particularly June 23 is something I miss. Sankt Hans Evening. On that evening people have huge bonfires where they burn witches (yeah, not actual witches) and sing songs and make snobrød (dough wrapped around sticks and baked over the coals of the bonfires) and have barbecues. And it's all really lovely -except when it rains, although that has its charms as well, and was very memorable FOUR years ago- and the epitome of the Danish concept of HYGGE.
Atleast I still have a little bit of pålægschokolade left. That's what is on the bread in the picture up there. It's like thin slices of chocolate that you eat on bread. And it's bloody yummy! Tony thinks it's weird, but he refuses to try it - wuss! But I'm running low, so I have to save it - we're not going to Denmark till the end of August!! And I'm completely out of my favourite yellow Gajol liquorice; I really don't know how I'm going to survive!
