Lunch + bad me

This was my lunch today. That thing on the slice of bread is called pålægschokolade (literally: put-on chocolate). It is a thin slice of milk or dark chocolate that you, well, put on bread. To my knowledge this isn't eaten anywhere else but in Denmark. Oh my, the culinary contribution of Denmark is astounding. But really, this is sooo yummy. And it's particularly good on rye bread.

Speaking of Denmark. I'm a bad, bad granddaughter, I forgot my granddad's birthday (yesterday) - and he even turned 90! Not good at all. And we also forgot to send a birthday card to my brother-in-law (for tomorrow). We're really doing well with the birthdays...
