Let's doodle/journal together!

Hello and Happy Thursday!

A couple of years ago (wow, is it really that long?!) a few of you joined me in a travelling journal project. You may remember it? Unfortunately, it didn't get very far, despite my efforts to get it going again.

So I thought we'd try this again - this time I am going to be a bit more strict! Ok, not really... ;-)

What is this travelling journal thing? Well, it's a blank journal/sketchbook that travels around the world (I hope!) and the participants fill in a spread each. Eventually, it will make its way back to me and I will scan it and make a digital version so we can all have one. And maybe a print on demand version? The original... what do you think? Sell/auction it off for a good cause?

Sound good? Want to play? There are 19 spreads in this particular sketchbook, so there's spreads for 18 of you besides me. Although! If lots of you want to play, I do have another sketchbook of the same type, so we could go to 38 people in total!

You don't have to be an Artist, or able to draw or whatever. As long as you fancy sharing a bit of yourself and your creativity, that's all good. You can draw in it, watercolour, make a collage, paste in a photo, write a poem, do an embroidered piece - whatever you can think of!

Now, to make sure this goes as smoothly as possible, there a few rules.. guidelines!

You must be willing to send this overseas
The overall theme for the journal is 'Season'. You can interpret this anywhich way you fancy!
Please use something from the envelope you receive the journal in
Send me an email when you receive the journal and when it leaves you again - I will set up a map where we can all keep track of it
If you want to stitch, or otherwise make alterations to your spread that will affect the spreads before and after yours, please do so on a separate piece of paper/card/.. and paste it in - unless you ask those folks if they mind
Please only keep the journal for 2 weeks. If you get it done sooner, do send it on its way as soon as it's ready!
This project will run from 6-12 months (maybe more?), so please let me know if there are any times in the next year that are not good for you at all and I will plan around it. Like, if you're going on holiday, or moving or getting married etc.. The person who receives the journal around the start of November will send it to me and I will keep it over the Crazy Christmas season

Let's make something cool together - whaddya say?! If you want to join in, please send me an email with your name, postal address and blog link. Plus let me know if there are any awkward times for you. carinascraftblog AT gmail DOT com

Can't wait to hear from you!

Edit: all spaces are now filled for this journal. But do not despair! You can still email me if you would like to join a journal project at some other time. I will start a new one when I have people for the next one. ;-)

I'd love to participate in your traveling journal project. Would there be room for someone like me? I mostly work in fiber arts such as spinning, weaving, needle felt, and knitting. But I have an idea for a "season" page that I'd like to try out.

Let me me know if there's room.

I crochet and knit and my husband x-stitches and your idea is sooo tempting... yet I'm not sure you'd like to send it to Russia and I'm also afraid for our not-so-good post services. Have you ever sent smth in our direction?
