New Class: Colour with Polka + Bloom

Colour with Polka & Bloom

Hi! I can't tell you how nervous I am about writing this.. When things mean a lot to you.. the response means a lot too. Ok. I'm not just nervous, I'm actually kinda.. scared. But my attitude for this year is "Do It". So, well, this is me, doing something that is a bit scary. I have been thinking about this for months and in the last couple of months I've been really listening to this idea and working on it for realz.

So, ok, enough of me yakkin'.. this is it: I will be teaching another e-class. This time about colour. Something which you probably know means a lot to me. I guess you could say that I am slightly obsessed.

The class is called "Colour with Polka & Bloom". And it starts on February 28th. It will run for 4 weeks on a private site and the content will be available for 4 weeks after the class ends.

I am still fine-tuning the content, but it will include colour theory (which is a huge topic!), the difference between colour usage in different media, exercises and examples. The class will be focused on using colour in embroidery and other fibre arts. You can find lots of colour information for painters and photographers etc, but using colour in fibre is slightly different, and there's not a lot of information available on this.

Now, in this fine-tuning phase, I would love your input in the form of this short survey on colour/taking a colour class. It is completely anonymous and you are welcome to take the survey even if you are not interested in taking the class as the point in time.

If you would like to be kept up-to-date with the class, follow this handy link to sign up for the class newsletter. You'll be the first to be able to sign up for the class and newsletter subscribers will also get an early bird price for the class. The first newsletter will go out on Monday, January 31.

Oooo it all sounds very interesting. I took your survey and was wondering if a class like this would be of use to other crafts such as crochet?
