Cake slice - made using pattern in 'Big Little Felt Universe'
Aloha! Look what I made!

It is not very often that I get (take?) the time to sit down and have a go at something designed by someone else. I have loads of craft books. Of course. ;-) But do I actually make stuff from them? Well, sometimes, but not enough!

Anyway, I made this slice of cake because I've done a review over on Feeling Stitchy of the book it is in. I really think that if you're going to review a craft book, you should at least do yourself and the readers the favour and try one of the projects.

Don't you agree? A review along the lines of "this book is so pretty and all the projects are cute and I'm going to make them all" isn't all that helpful. At least not to me... Details, baby! And nice shots of more than the cover would be nice too.

I guess that's why I rarely get round to sharing reviews of some of the books I've got... I haven't got time to do it properly...

Anyway.

Big Little Felt Universe - review
This is the book I reviewed: Big Little Felt Universe by Jeanette Lim. You can read the review here. And there are more pictures of the book, too. ;-)

And a couple more cake pictures. I changed the colours from the original. I like doing my own thing. To me a craft book is just a starting point.. ;-)
