Edit photos with Picmonkey

Edited with Picmonkey Edited with Picmonkey
Have you heard of Picmonkey? I've seen it mentioned a few places lately, so I thought I'd give it a try. It's an online photo editor and a pretty rad one at that. Actually, it's the best one I've tried! I've been pretty skeptic about online photo editors, actually - how can they possibly do the job of a desktop editing program in your browser?!

Well, they can't of course. But I think that Picmonkey is pretty great for quick photo edits. And to add fun effects and filters. That's a really great part of it!

The two images above are edited in Picmonkey, using some of those filters as well - there's loads! I was really surprised to see how many there are!

This is what the site looks like - you simply drag and drop a photo to the empty spot on the left and then you get the workspace you see on the right. You can do basic edits, add effects, touch up portraits, add text, frames and textures.

This is a before and after image with a basic editing of the light in the photo. Not bad I think! If you don't have Photoshop or Gimp or you just need to quickly edit a couple of photos, maybe for a blog post, you should give Picmonkey a try! It's really intuitive to use as well.
