Free star embroidery pattern

I made a paper star /Moravian star pattern which you can download over at the &Stitches blog. I grew up making these with my family and we also used to make them at the annual Christmas dec making day in school.

No regular classes. Instead everyone brought in different Christmas sweets and biscuits and then we made the paper stars and woven hearts. We'd also make paper cones and paper chains. And 'musetrapper' which are a type of woven paper chains. Some students would make reaaally long paper chains, long enough to be laid through the hallways of most of the school.

And then in the afternoon, everyone would gather in the school gym to dance around the Christmas tree and sing carols.
