Crocodile stitch shawl

Crocodile stitch shawl
Look at that, I'm almost done with this shawl I've been crocheting for my mum! But I'm not quite there yet, because wouldn't you know it - I'm about 15 centimetres from being done and then I ran out of yarn!

Luckily, my parents are visiting London with some friends next week so my mum can bring over some more yarn. Phew!

Aaaand, I get to celebrate my birthday with my parents. As far as I recall, that hasn't happened since 2007! I guess that's what happens when you move to a different country, eh? ;-)

I really love the crocodile stitch. Once the shawl has been blocked the scales will look even better.

The back looks kinda cool too. Like tiny tubes of yarn.

Scales. So cool. I think I'm going to have a go at making some cushion covers using the crocodile stitch...
