In Print :: Fat Quarters. Small Fabrics, More Than 50 Big Ideas

Fat Quarters book - I have a project in this book!
I received some very nice post on Saturday: my contributor's copy of Fat Quarters: Small Fabrics, 50 Big Ideas from Lark Crafts. It seems like absolutely ages ago that I made my project for this book.

The book is full to bursting with projects that use fat quarter cuts of fabric. Some use as little as one fat quarter, others use a lot more. Some are easy projects, others are more complicated/time consuming. Lots of projects to make for yourself or as gifts.

The book is out on March 17 - so hop on over to your favourite book ordering place and pre-order yourself a copy!

This is the project I made: a cover for a note or sketchbook with an optional bookmark. The cover can be made from just one fat quarter (or two if your book is on the larger side).

Lots of my favourite designers and crafters have a project in this book. Probably some of your favourites too! Here are a few of my favourite projects.

Fat Quarters book
I love this mini quilt by Julie from Button, Button. It's just so pretty and perfect. And I'm not just saying that because Julie is my dear friend. Although it could have something to do with the use of Denyse Schmidt fabric in this project. ;-)

Fat Quarters book
This origami inspired cushion from Ruth Singer. Ruth's work is so beautiful and interesting and I love that it's represented in this book.

I love the use of stripy fabrics in this cushion by Malka Dubrawsky. The colours are so great and the effect of the stripes is really great. I think there is definitely something stripy in my sewing future.
