Dalahäst wrapping paper
Cutest wrapping paper. Ever!

I think a roll of this wrapping paper (it's waiting for me in Denmark!) is the closest I'll ever get to owning a Dalahäst. Those guys are expensive! I checked the internets! And it's not likely that I'm going to stumble upon one in  a secondhand shop over here.

I think maybe this is a good time to confess to how much I love Swedish. Really. Some of my favourite music is from Sweden.

There's Bo Kaspers Orkester. And ABBA, of course! Veronica Maggio; need to get one of her CDs! Lisa Nilsson, such a lovely voice. CajsaStina Åkerström and Lisa Miskovsky are nice too. Videos from all these people are below if you fancy a listen. Except for ABBA - I assume you're familiar with ABBA... ;-)

But most of all: Kent. I listen to them all the time. When I walk to the shops. If I need to shut out whatever Tony is watching on the telly. Always Kent. You should check them out - even if you don't understand a word they are singing...

And Swedish TV - although that is a rarity over here of course. Except when they show 'Wallander' on BBC. Lately I've been thinking I'd like to watch Skärgårdsdoktorn, another TV series.. and I just found out there is a film too...

I'd love more suggestions for my Swedish music obsession.. so if you've got 'em, let me know in the comments! :-)

  1. You have to check out Melissa Horn and Laleh. And of course Lars Winnerbäck! :)
